The Art & Craft Resource Centre  has been developed in accordance with the NCTE Norms and Regulations, 2014, to nurture creativity, aesthetic sense, and artistic skills among student-teachers.

This dedicated space plays a vital role in the holistic development of future teachers, allowing them to express emotions, enhance imagination, and integrate art into the teaching-learning process.

Key Features of the Art & Craft Lab:

• Spacious and well-ventilated room with proper display areas

  • Drawing & Painting (sketch pens, crayons, water/oil colors, brushes)

  • Craft Work (scissors, glue, decorative items, colored paper, beads)

  • Clay Modeling and Pottery

  • Collage Making and Chart Preparation

  • Waste Material Craft and Creative Models

• Display of students’ artworks and teaching aids

• Facilities for organizing art exhibitions and competitions

Purpose and Objectives:

• To develop creative skills and fine motor abilities among student-teachers

• To train student-teachers in the preparation of teaching aids, charts, and models for classroom use

• To integrate visual and performing arts into education, promoting inclusive and engaging pedagogies

• To encourage self-expression, innovation, and teamwork
